Welcome to the relaunch of the Soft'n Fuzzy site! I'm back with a bit of a redesign (though still blue) and bit more content too.
The focus of the site continues to be on NGPC development. The NGPC has a loyal fan base, but interest from the homebrew community seems to be waning, with handheld developers turning their attentions to more powerful hardware such as GP32 and GBA. However, I am quite happy to stay with SNK's great little machine for the forseeable future and redress the balance a little. I am also hopeful that the increased activity will give encouragement to the other NGPC developers, whom I believe are a little disheartened by the relative silence of the community.
During this site's silence, there hasn't been a great deal of progress on NGPC, but there has been a little. Mole, the reusable programming library I have been developing, is coming along nicely. Dizzy has had bits and pieces added to it, as well as being reworked to use Mole. Uridium now has a starfield, a scrolling backdrop and a sprite multiplexor. And there have been some other new developments besides.
In a slight change from before, I will allow my current projects to be downloadable, whether they are finished or not. They may have bugs and may not be particularly polished or even very interesting, but people like to see stuff rather than just read about it. Each release will have a version number too, so you can easily identify updates. See the NGPC page for more details.
I won't promise regular updates, because I can't keep that promise. But I certainly plan to stay as active as I can.
