Fantasy World Dizzy Pocket
Fantasy World Dizzy Pocket is a remake of the classic 8-bit and 16-bit game, Fantasy World Dizzy, designed and developed by the Oliver Twins and published by Codemasters. The remake is largely based on the C64 version, with the occasional element taken from the Spectrum version.
Taking advantage of the NGPC's abilities, the remake will feature a larger variety of colours, higher framerate, smoother animation and extra background detail, amongst other enhancements.
Currently implemented features
- Scrolling.
- All player animation.
- Player movement behaviour, including jumping, collision detection, falling, rolling and step climbing.
- Map navigation.
- Screen wipes.
- Display interpolation (provides a smooth 60Hz screen update but with the original 15Hz game update rate).
- All inventory functionality.
- Object persistence.
- Windowing and message display.
- Background animation.
Recent activity
Dizzy's backflip added. Background code animation added; only water is animated so far. Several new rooms added. Complete restructuring of code to make media construction and editing much easier and to improve build times. Added handing of full inventory.
